Print this Wine         2002 Joseph "Angel Gully" Shiraz   CLARENDON/SOUTH AUSTRALIA                 January Release   Shiraz       From Joe and Dina Grilli's stunning vineyard in the high elevation "Angel Gully" hamlet near Clarendon. This 2nd release of Shiraz is from low yielding vines planted under the shade of an enormous gum tree. Primary flavors of rich raspberry, dark cherry and pepper are enhanced with notes of truffles and licorice. The wine is juicy and generous and with great texture and wonderful balance. The winemaking has been simple, with open fermenters and maturation in a combination of French, American and German oak.
