Here is an unusual combination of grape varieties. In the past century in Bordeaux, Malbec used to be very popular but not so today. It provides an earthy rustic edge to the pure sweet plum like friuit of the Merlot. The two varieties work particularly well together. The wine has medium weight with some soft tannins at the finish. The wine is best drunk over the next three or four years. |
