Pale, bright yellow-straw. Restrained, pristine, varietally accurate aromas of honeysuckle and apricot, with a suggestion of quince essence. Supple, soft, nutty and generous, with layered flavors of lemon meringue, clove and cinnamon. Finishes savory, dry and long. This wine represents a smart move back toward a purer, more reserved and less winemaker-driven style for this producer. |
