Whilst still being unmistakedly Barossa Valley in its origin this wine is just a little softer and fruitier than the traditional Elderton label. The fruit is plums and a mixture of berries. There is a little smoky oak which gives the wine a touch of complexity. In the mouth the wine is very juicy and the finish lingers on with some softish tannins and good acid. Drink the wine over the next few years whilst the fruit flavours are still youthful and fresh. |
