The 60% Cabernet Sauvignon gives this wine its structure and backbone, the 30% Shiraz its dark fruit and spice, and the 10% Merlot adds charm and a well-rounded finish. An iron fist in a velvet glove!! A powerful and intense wine delivers a mouthful of ripe plums, spice and liquorice notes as well as chocolate and mocha nuances. A long finish assisted by healthy acidity and supple fruit tannins and a nicely balanced application of French and American oak for 20 months. A wine ready to drink now, but will evolve beautifully over the next 6 to 10 years.
