Print this Wine         2001 Hewitson "Private Cellar" Mourvedre Shiraz   BAROSSA VALLEY                 January Release   Mourvedre       This is a very rare wine. Mourvedre, once popular is now planted in minute quantities. Dean Hewitson was able to secure a small parcel of fruit from some very old vines. The bouquet sees aniseed, tar and herbal characters. In addition there is some plummy fruit to support this. The finish is firm and drying and the wine will age well for some years to come.
