This exquisite wine looks more like a Cote Rotie than most of the Cote Rotie I have tasted recently!! It has a lovely balance of white pepper over some juicy red berry flavours, with a wonderful aromatic and textural lift courtesy of the Viognier.
There are some soft tannins with ample acid at the finish. The wine will age for a medium to long term but it is in perfect balance and harmony as a young wine so you don’t have to lay it down for a lengthy period of time. |
