Print this Wine         2000 Pikes Shiraz   CLARE VALLEY                 30/09/2003 Release   Shiraz       You are immediately struck by the deep purple red color of the wine. The nose reveals why, with beautiful rich aromas of ripe, dark red and black fruits all vying for supremacy, with hints of chocolate and spice in the background. On the palate, these fruit flavors are more accentuated, with the spice, pepper and chocolaty notes more pronounced. Subtle hints of oak courtesy of 14 months in barrel complete the picture. The wine finishes long thanks to the natural acidity and soft fruit tannins.
