Print this Wine         2000 Elderton Shiraz   NURIOOTPA, BAROSSA VALLEY                 January Release   Shiraz       The intense dark rich purple juice that swirls in the glass gives you some sense of the power and grace of this wine. On the nose rich dense fruit characters mingle with hints of chocolate, mocha and tobacco and even violets. The palate delivers all of these flavors with ripe plums a dominant player, all wrapped up in a silky smooth balanced mouthful. Subtle sweet vanillin characters come from 18 months maturation in a mix of French and American puncheons. The finish just goes on and on. This one is a keeper, 5 to 8 years minimum.
