Print this Wine         1999 Hewitson "L'Oizeau" Shiraz   MCLAREN VALE                 January Release   Shiraz       Ruby, purple in color of this wine gives an indication of the depth of flavor of this wine, sourced from 70+ year old vines. Beautifully perfumed nose with plum and mulberry, and hints of spice and even violets. On the palate its plum heaven, dark and dense yet with some lovely red fruit characters giving the wine lift. The wine shows great balance, and a really well crafted mouthfeel. Beautifully concentrated without a hint of over extraction. The French oak integrates well. This wine has a long life ahead of it, but offers great pleasure now. Think Cassoulet, or other sumptuous meat dishes, or even some slow cooked duck.         How do I download Hi-Res Labels?
