Print this Wine         2001 Grosset "Polish Hill" Riesling   POLISH HILL RIVER, CLARE VALLEY                 January Release   Riesling       From the contemporary ‘King” of Australian Riesling comes yet another great vintage of Polish Hill. The bouquet delivers lemon and lime characters, with a slightly dusty/floral nuance. On the palate you are confronted by the laser like precision of the wine. Mineral notes support all of the fruit, and the acid holds it all together. Beautifully well defined flavors in a lean, long framework. This wine is great now, but taste it in 10 or 20 years to see what it is really all about The wine can hold up to an exotic Thai Tom Yum soup, just as well as accompanying a plate of fresh prawns and oysters…..even with a bit of soy and ginger on the side.
