Tim Kirk has done it again. This Shiraz Viognier blend screams out Cote Rotie!! Its got that lovely game, smoked meat and spice character, with supple plum and cherry characters. Wonderful silky texture, and a finish that lingers long after you had a sip. The Viognier (about 5%) just adds to the generosity of the wine, amplifying all that the Shiraz has on offer. This is not your typical Aussie Shiraz. The wine demands a rare piece of meat, cooked simply French bistro style, or for something more adventurous an Asian influenced dish to pick up on the spicy aspect of the wine. |
