  Tasting Notes

This wine strikes early!! Blackcurrants, hints of chocolate, dry spices and lovely toast characters abound on the nose. On the palate the fruit shows optimum ripeness with blackcurrant, elements of leather even cassis. The wine spent 12 months in new French barrique on lees, adding further to its complexity, and bottled without filtering or fining. Make no mistake this is a rich intense wine that has years ahead of it. Undoubtedly drinkable now, but it will evolve into an even more seductive wine over time. Cellaring potential: at least 10 to 15 years.
Rich veal or game dishes, or the best piece of steak you can find will be required to stand up to the stature and poise of this wine.
