This wine delivers wonderful aromatics from the moment you pop the cork. Peaches, stone fruit and a hint of cedar. On the palate the wine is lean but with great intensity and lovely mouth feel. Peach, Grapefruit and Lychee characters mingle to give great complexity. Barrel fermentation, and the influence of lees adds further to the wines depth and intensity. Whilst the wine does not seem to be too crisp with acid, the finish lingers on for a very long time. This wine has plenty of time ahead of it. Drink now, or let it evolve over the next 4-6 years. Food? Seafood served with a butter based sauce. Richer food such as lobster could also work with the wine because of the concentration of the fruit. Chicken served with mushrooms is another fine alternative.
