Deep, brooding aromas of boysenberry, blueberry, tar, vanilla, pipe tobacco and licorice. A zesty mineral quality adds urgency to the concentrated black and blue fruit flavors, which display compote-like sweetness and power. The minerality gains strength with air and extends the long, sappy finish. Leaves dried violet and rose notes behind, along with a strong graphite quality.
