Smoky aromas of blackcurrant, cherry pit, licorice and black pepper. The palate offers sappy flavors of dark berry preserves and candied flowers, picking up velvety tannins with air. I like the blend of spiciness and depth here. Turns sweeter and silkier in the glass, finishing with very good clarity and persistent blackberry and candied cherry notes.
