Print this Wine         2003 Joseph Cabernet Merlot "Moda Amarone"   MCLAREN VALE/CLARENDON/SOUTH AUSTRALIA                 20/05/2007 Release Case Size: 12/750ml Bordeaux Blends       This is a wonderfully distinctive wine, 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot sourced from Joe Grilli's vineyards in both McLaren Vale and Clarendon. Part of the wines magic comes from a partial drying of the grapes after picking, similar to the technique used to produce Amarone. Beautiful intense berry characters mingle with hints of earth, tobacco and licorice. Use of a combination of French, German and American oak adds to the wines lush character and complexity.
