Great definition of citrus character all bound up in a well structured wine, with layers of earth minerals and dusty, chalky notes...... 2000 Pikes Sauvignon Blanc Semillon CLARE VALLEY January Release Sauvignon Blanc A blend of 76% Sauvignon Blanc and 24% Semillon. Beautiful pale green color. Lifted aromas of stone fruits, citrus and straw waft out of the glass. On the palate, those crisp and fresh citrus characters mingle with tropical fruits, as well as apple and gooseberry flavors and flinty mineral characters. Medium bodied, yet without being too intense.
