On the palate it is medium-bodied, crisp, dry and vibrant leading to a long finish. It can be enjoyed now with oysters and clams but will likely age for a decade in the manner of a top German Riesling. Wound-up nose unfolds slowly to reveal citrus pith and mineral scents along with pungent herb and floral qualities. Crisp lemon, lime and quince flavors display striking energy and clarity, and gain in flesh as the wine opens in the glass. Finishes with sweeter orange and melon character and impressive persistence.
