This is a very exciting new addition to The Collection™. Lee Flourentzou has pursued his passion to produce rich and intensely flavored red wines. He purchased a 70 acre plot of dirt, 7 km outside of the township of Mclaren Vale back in 1998. He now has 64 acres planted, the majority of which is dedicated Shiraz vines. This low yielding vineyard is producing wonderfully intense fruit. Lee recruited Scott Rawlinson, a young Mclaren Vale based Winemaker, to capture the potential of the fruit from the Aramis Vineyard. The wines are fermented in five ton open fermenters. Maturation in American and French oak for 12 – 24 months and then further maturation in bottle before release. There are currently two distinct bottlings, the Aramis Shiraz, and the flagship wine “The Governor” Syrah.
