Mount Horrocks
Location:   80 miles north of Adelaide, and 398 metres above sea level.
Climate:   Warm days and cool nights is the key.
MJT:   21.45c
AR:   632mm
GR:   245mm
ASH:   1870
Soil:   Red & brown-Gray duplex soils with limestone and slate.
Harvest:   Early March to early June (the Cordon Cut fruit comes off last).

It is incredible how much energy Stephanie Toole has. She bought the label in 1993, and has swiftly driven it to “hot” label status. The “Cordon Cut” Late Harvest Riesling wooed me over (as it has everyone who tastes it, be they Critic, Collector or Consumer). Her Shiraz and Cabernet Merlot added to her reputation, and now her Dry Riesling is giving her “partner” and father of her two children, Jeffrey Grosset, a good run for his money!! Watch this space.
